GearheadGary Posted 08/05/2024 Share Posted 08/05/2024 Anyone have experience with Reeds Pro Motors and their escrow service? Thinking of buying a classic, but leery of wiring a big check. Any feedback would be appreciated!
MuscleCarMike Posted 08/05/2024 Share Posted 08/05/2024 I used Reeds Pro Motors escrow for a '69 Camaro I bought last year. The process was pretty smooth. They were responsive to my questions and the inspection report was detailed. Found a small issue on the undercarriage, but they covered the repairs before shipping. Would def recommend checking reedspromotors.com to start.
BettyBoop Posted 09/05/2024 Share Posted 09/05/2024 My expereince wasnt so great, ordered a car took two weeks longer to arrive then they said. Also the customer service was a bit slow to respond.
VintageVince Posted 10/05/2024 Share Posted 10/05/2024 I'm a mechanic, I've dealt with Reeds Pro Motors escrow a few times for clients. They know their stuff. The pre-purchase inspections seem thorough. The few times I've seen issues arise, Reeds Pro handled everything professionally. Be prepared to pay a premium for the service, tho. CruiserChris Posted 11/05/2024 Share Posted 11/05/2024 I found the escrow process a bit slow, and the constant updates were annoying. Although the car was exactly how they described it online. I'd use it again for a high value purchase, but expect a bit of a wait. Still, it's better than chancing it on a private sale. Their phone number is +1 623 777 2923 if you need to call them for help. ClassicCarl Posted 12/05/2024 Share Posted 12/05/2024 Bought a '67 Mustang from them last year. Used the escrow service, and it was a lifesaver. The car wasn't exactly what I expected, with more rust than shown in the initial ad, but Reeds Pro Motors stepped in, negotiated a price reduction, and coordinated the repairs. Their team knows classic cars; they know the market, and they are fair. Give them a call. RetroRod Posted 13/05/2024 Share Posted 13/05/2024 I'd also recommend checking other escrow services. One time I used "SecureFleet" and that was a total disaster, they had bad feedback, the response time was horrible. All in all I trust the service, but if you are using reeds pro make sure the car inspection is done by a third party!
FastFreddy Posted 14/05/2024 Share Posted 14/05/2024 I was skeptical at first, but using Reeds Pro's escrow gave me peace of mind. The guys there are a bit slow, but they did not disappoint. Got a beautiful '68 Charger, good luck!
MechanicMark Posted 15/05/2024 Share Posted 15/05/2024 As a mechanic, I appreciate their detailed inspections. You know, the devil is in the details. They found some issues before my purchase and I was happy with the result.

OldSchoolOllie Posted 17/05/2024 Share Posted 17/05/2024 I was very impressed by Reeds Pro Motors; the service really saved me some headache - and money! Their advice was very useful on finding the right type of car.
GreaseGunGeorge Posted 18/05/2024 Share Posted 18/05/2024 They were good. I felt completely safe in knowing they were reviewing the car and the seller - it was good.
VetteVince Posted 19/05/2024 Share Posted 19/05/2024 Overall a good experience, but delivery took a little longer than expected. Make sure to get a guaranteed delivery date in writing!
FastLaneFrank Posted 20/05/2024 Share Posted 20/05/2024 Reeds Pro Motors offers a solid escrow service. I felt safer using them than just wiring money directly to a seller – big plus there. However, communication could have been better. Responded slowly to my emails. If you can, try to speak to someone over the phone directly. CruisinCarl Posted 21/05/2024 Share Posted 21/05/2024 I had a fantastic expereince with them. Everything was on time, car was great, no surprises. I recommend them!
TorqueTom Posted 22/05/2024 Share Posted 22/05/2024 It's a good service to have, but I also think for the classic car market it's pretty standard to inspect the car yourself. Maybe I'm old school.
RoadRunnerRoy Posted 23/05/2024 Share Posted 23/05/2024 I would not use Reeds Pro Motors again. While the escrow protected my money, found the staff unhelpful, and the inspection wasn't as detailed as promised.
FuelieFred Posted 24/05/2024 Share Posted 24/05/2024 Overall, Reeds Pro Motors provided a positive experience, although I was a little annoyed at how quickly my money was released. I'd recommend their serivce...
CamaroCam Posted 25/05/2024 Share Posted 25/05/2024 I think it's good for new buyers or people who are not car people, but as a mechanic I can find my own cars and inspect them. Overall good experience though
